Everyone Can Win - More information

NEW AND UPDATED CONFLICT RESOLUTION
SKILLS IN THE SECOND EDITION OF
EVERYONE CAN WIN

Everyone Can Win has earned its place among such contemporary must-reads as Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence, Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Thomas Gordon’s Effectiveness Training series.”
Tony Jollye - Journalist for Australian Financial Review, Boss Magazine, Australia

A new and revised second edition of the best-selling book Everyone Can Win was released in September 2006. Authors Helena Cornelius, Shoshana Faire and for the second edition, Estella Cornelius, have collaborated to expand the first edition. They have included more comprehensive sections on power dynamics, forgiveness, handling difficult people, listening, assertiveness, negotiation and mediation. There is also a new section on relating to different personality styles as well as new exercises and interesting stories interspersed throughout the text.

"The skills of Conflict Resolution are specific and transferable. Learn a technique for one situation then transfer it to another area of your life. They are relevant from the playground to the international arena. This is a book about relationships and how to manage them well. It is equally relevant for those who lead, manage and relate to people in any context - be it workplace, social, family or community," says Helena.

Everyone Can Win is interactive and invites the reader's participation. The exercises lead the reader on a personal journey of self discovery. The material presented is easy to access and very practical. The
stories are drawn from the experiences of people in families, friendships and the workplace. Read any page and immediately apply a skill to a situation that is troubling you. These skills empower you. They are as much about conflict prevention as resolution.

Shoshana says, "One of the key ingredients in Conflict Resolution is asking skilful questions that will lead the discussion forward in a positive way. We focussed on this and useful questions are clearly highlighted throughout the book for people's easy access".

"Everyone Can Win is a handbook of practical skills for addressing conflicts constructively. Our book is the "how to" of emotional intelligence. As you apply the skills you are led to a deeper understanding of self. The first edition has been selling and being used since 1989 which shows the continued relevance of the skills," says Helena.

Estella says, "Our vision is that everyone will keep a copy in their office or by the bed and glance at it frequently, flipping it open on any page to find a relevant gem of guidance."
