Free training material and self-study guideThe need for more training has encouraged us to offer study and training material on our website. It is easy to access and COST FREE. The Conflict Resolution Network presents a 12 skills approach so that you can run your problem - the conflict that you are addressing - past our list of skills. Of course it takes time and patience to work through the material but we hope you will find it worthwhile. You can do this alone or form a study or seminar group. We encourage you to print out relevant training material and share it with others. Click on the green links below to access our material. Start with these shorter pieces: 1. 12 SKILLS SUMMARY 9. HANDOUTS AND POSTERS 10. STANDING UP TO BULLYING - TRAINING SESSION FOR CHILDREN
This lesson plan comes from the manual: Managing Conflict with Confidence, Clare Heaton & Maureen Lynch. (Australia: Pearson Education Australia, 2003). It is targeted at upper primary and lower secondary students (ages 10-15 approx). The above link will take you to a chapter on anger management taken (with permission of course!) from the book: Is Everyone at the Table: 18 Life Lessons in Problem Solving by Ernest G. Tannis, a mediation lawyer. It encourages us to find our own intuitively appropriate response to the extraordinary challenges that people in crisis can bring to the negotiating table. The book may be purchased from lulu.com
If you embark on a self-study process using these online materials, we wish you well on your journey! You may also like to consider our low cost E-Learning Course on Conflict Resolution. It uses many of these materials plus additional audio and video content and includes assignments to help you check your learning process.
